Also given that you can start learning with the free license I would think that fusion would be a good way to start. Fusion is a cad-cam program so you dont need the intermediate step of the dxf file. My concern is that, as Oct 21st approaches, I do not want to lose my existing files. Then open it in cam (computer aided machining) software to program the tool paths and then export the g-code to the CNC. I am beginning to think that my initial error has caused a problem and that somewhere in your system I am still recorded as a student on a 3yr term as well as a hobbyist. I have now found that in the Help/About info it wrongly states "Active Plan: Fusion 360 Ultimate, Student". I have asked about this in one other forum listing, but with no solution. The problem is that I do not have a countdown timer. I have now received 2 emails telling me that my 1 yr trial ends on Oct 21st and to click the countdown timer to renew. I am a retired engineer doing no paid work at all. I have enjoyed using Fusion 360 therefore for nearly a year. Within hours I realised I did not, so I uninstalled Autodesk and started all over again with Fusion 360 as a hobbyist/enthusiast. FULL DISCLOSURE: Fusion 360 is an Autodesk. I am seeking your help to try and solve a license issue that is possibly due to my own error.Īlmost a year ago I investigated Autodesk and wrongly thought that I qualified as a student due to my retirement studies.
